In juli 1990 heeft Jan-Karel de Koning de Sint Jozef kerk voor 1€ gekocht, op voorwaarde dat de kerk zou worden opgeknapt.
Ik kreeg van Jan-Karel de gelegenheid in deze – nog niet schoongemaakte en opgeruimde – kerk gedurende enkele dagen een fotosessie te houden.Hieruit kwam het fotoproject ‘Sculptures in Church’ Dubbelserie en 'Sculptures in Church 2. voort..
Daarna werd de kerk schoongemaakt. Al het puin werd geruimd en de kerk helemaal met water schoongespoten. Het resultaat was verrassend en met de zon door de gebrandschilderde ramen gaf dit sfeervolle beelden; de reden waarom ik deze sfeer in kleur heb vastgelegd.
Later is deze ruimte ingericht voor – wat nu – het Partycentrum De Orangerie is.

In July 1990, Jan-Karel de Koning bought the St Joseph church for € 1, provided the church would be restored.
Jan-Karel gave me the opportunity in this - not yet cleaned and tidy - church to keep a photo session for a few days. This became the photo project ‘Sculptures in Church’ Dubbelserie and 'Sculptures in Church 2..
Then the church was cleaned. All the rubble was cleared and the church is bruched up with water. The result was surprising and the sun through the stained glass windows gave this attractive images, the reason I have captured this mood in color.
Later this area became The Orangerie Party center.
